When you come to a skills workshop, listen to one of our professional speakers share their insights, or compete in our case competition, hours of prep and planning have gone into making that event possible! Every year, AMA's exec team works behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, from arranging delicious food for every meeting to recruiting professionals to come speak at events.
Â
This year we have ten super talented individuals making the AMA magic happen—and we can't wait to meet you at kickoff on October 3rd! Until then, learn a little bit more about us and then come break the ice in person! We'd love to chat with you about what AMA has to offer and how we can help you launch the career of your dreams, marketing or not.

Most excited for this year: Attending the AMA National conference in New Orleans is always a highlight of my year. It is incredible to be surrounded by leaders of collegiate chapters, sharing knowledge and insights from our own states and learning from one another. Plus, New Orleans is such a unique place to explore and so fun to visit!

Favorite AMA memory: My favorite AMA memory is standing in front of a room full of over 100 eager students looking to be involved at last year’s kick off meeting. It felt like everything was coming together for an AMAzing year. I am so excited to see where this year goes, the memories we will make, the professionals who will inspire us, and my final year in my favorite organization. See you all at kickoff!

Personal Brand: If Elle Woods went to business school instead
Favorite AMA memory: Last year I had the insane(ly cool) opportunity to work with Starbucks on our first ever annual AMA marketing case competition. It was a dream come true I didn’t even know I had. Despite a lot of stress and late nights, I wish I could do it all over again! I can’t wait to see Katherine (this year’s VP of Competitions) launch round two this spring.

Favorite AMA memory: ...is also my first AMA memory: the 2016 AMA Kickoff. As a freshman, the business school was overwhelming – a big unfamiliar place filled with many unfamiliar faces. Attending my first AMA meeting was one of the first times I felt excited to be at Foster – laughter, good food, and a room full of fun and intelligent people as passionate about marketing as I was. Two years later, I get to plan my own AMA Kickoff as VP of Membership, and I look forward to getting new members as excited about AMA as I was when I joined.

Most excited for this year: I’m really excited to see AMA grow as a club. Marketing is often a misunderstood concentration overshadowed by accounting or finance. I think that this year AMA is positioned to change people’s opinions about the marketing field, while providing unique opportunities for students to grow professionally and continue to build their personal brand.

Most excited for this year: What I’m most excited about for AMA this year is our mindset, because AMA is more than a marketing club. We will be extremely committed to giving back to the community and involving our members through hands-on skill development to help community initiatives. I think marketing is a very powerful tool, and I hope to use it to empower individuals, communities and small businesses that don’t have access to the resources that we do.
